Eoin Morgan Announces Retirement From All Forms Of Cricket

Former England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Monday. Eoin Morgan, who led England to victory in the 50-over World Cup in 2019, had early announced his retirement from international cricket last year and disclosed ambitions to work as a cricket pundit and commentator.

The 36-year-old wrote on his official Twitter account, “After much deliberation, I believe now is the right time to step away from the game that has given me so much over the years.” Terrible outings at the 2019 World Cup campaign triggered Morgan’s decision of calling it quits on international cricket.

“Thanks to cricket, I have been able to travel the world and meet incredible people, many of whom I have developed lifelong friendships with,” he added.

“I will undoubtedly miss the adventure and challenges of playing professional cricket.” he wrote on his social media handles. Eoin Morgan brought in the aggressive brand of cricket with the England Cricket team
