India Defeat Spain 1-0 To Clinch FIH Women’s Nation Cup 2022

Valencia: The Indian Women’s Hockey Team won the FIH Women’s Nations Cup 2022 yesterday in Valencia, Spain, after defeating Spain 1-0 in the championship game.

India finished the event unbeaten and were also given a promotion to the FIH Hockey Women’s Pro League for the 2023–24 season. The Women’s FIH Nations Cup had its first season this year, and the winner received a promotion to the Women’s Pro League hockey the following season. India’s Gurjit Kaur scored a goal in the opening quarter of the game, which eventually turned out to be the match-deciding goal.

The Indian Women’s Hockey Team, which won the FIH Women’s Nations Cup 2022, has received a reward from Hockey India of Rs 2 lakh for each player and Rs 1 lakh for each support staff member.
