India Easily Beat Zimbabwe By 10 Wickets In 1st ODI

Harare: It was an ewasy win for KL Rahul-led India. First, with bowling and fielding, later with the bats the Men in Blue crushed Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the first match of a three-match ODI series in Harare on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 190, Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan stitched an unbeaten partnership of 192 to take India home in 30.5 overs.

Both batters hit their respective fifties as India took a 1-0 lead in the series.
Earlier, Axar Patel and Deepak Chahar took three wickets each as India bowled out Zimbabwe for 189 in 40.3 overs in the first ODI in Harare.

Earlier in the day, KL Rahul had opted to bowl first after winning the toss. But a bowling attack studded with Deepak Chahar, making a comeback after 6 months, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel left Zimbabwe in tatters.

Axar took three for 24 while Chahar, who made a return to the team after a long lay-off, also returned figures of three for 27.

Prasidh Krishna also picked up three wickets but was slightly expensive.

For Zimbabwe, captain Regis Chakabva top-scored with a knock of 35 while Richard Ngarava and Brad Evans also played knocks of 34 and 33, respectively.
