Indian Cricket Team Members Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala Ahead of 3rd ODI vs SL

Thiruvanthapuram: Prior to the third ODI match against Sri Lanka in Kerala, the Indian cricket team visited the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum on Friday. Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal were all pictured in front of a sacred temple in Kerala prior to their match.

The Indian squad was cordially welcomed as they landed in Kerala’s capital. With Kathakali dancers and traditional Kerala Mundus, they were welcomed in the manner of the Malayali community. The match at Greenfield Stadium will be the venue’s second ODI.

The Indian squad is unlikely to alter its batting order with a series sweep in sight, but skipper Rohit Sharma might be persuaded to consider some of his bowling options for the final ODI against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Rohit’s team would appreciate a more decisive performance against the island nation in the final match of the tour after securing the series with two different victories—a comfortable one while defending in Guwahati and a hard-fought one while chasing in Kolkata.

The team will be in terrific shape if they win the series 3-0 before facing higher-calibre opponents in New Zealand in less than 72 hours. All five of the best batsmen, including all-rounder Hardik Pandya, would welcome additional opportunities to bat at the Greenfields Stadium, which is known to favour bowlers, against a respectable Sri Lankan lineup.

As a result, there may be changes to the bowling unit. Mohammed Shami’s workload will be of particular concern to the Indian team management due to India playing six 50-over matches in the span of 14 days, three against Sri Lanka and three against New Zealand.
