Sunrisers Hyderabad Smash IPL Record with Most Sixes in a Season

Hyderabad: The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) became the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) record-holder for most sixes hit in a single season during their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Despite the loss, SRH achieved the feat with 100 sixes in just eight games, surpassing their previous best of 97 from 2022.

Opener Abhishek Sharma and middle-order batsman Heinrich Klaasen have been instrumental in SRH’s aggressive batting approach, while Australian import Travis Head has also provided valuable contributions at the top.

While RCB won the toss and posted a competitive 206/7, SRH’s batting lineup faltered except for Sharma (31), skipper Pat Cummins (31), and Shahbaz Ahmed (40). RCB bowlers Cameron Green and Karn Sharma claimed two wickets each to restrict SRH to 171.

This record-breaking season sees SRH currently sitting at the third spot in the points table, while RCB remain at the bottom.
