Karachi Teen Shot Dead in Brawl Over Burger

Karachi: A tragic incident on February 8 in Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy. The victim, identified as Ali Kerio, son of a sessions judge, was allegedly shot by Daniyal Mir Bahar, the son of a retired senior police officer.

According to police reports, the incident stemmed from a disagreement over food. Daniyal had invited Ali to his home, where his girlfriend Shazia also joined them. Daniyal reportedly ordered burgers for himself and Shazia, but Ali allegedly consumed half of one burger. This enraged Daniyal, who investigators claim seized a security guard’s assault rifle and opened fire on Ali. The victim succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

“The investigation has concluded,” a police spokesperson stated. “Daniyal is accused of getting into a heated argument with Ali over why he ate half of the burger without permission. The accused has been arrested and awaits trial.”
