Odia Boy Aryan Bramhin To Represent India In 9th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Ch’ship 2022

Bhubaneswar: There is a popular adage ‘’ If there is a will, there is a way’’. It was once again proved by an Odia boy Aryan Bramhin as he has been selected for the Indian team for the forthcoming 9th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship 2022 to be held from 20th to 31st August in Manama, Bahrain.

Born into a middle-class family in Talcher town in Angul district, the achievement was far from easy for Bramhin. His father Gouri Shankar Mishra is a handball coach, whose guidance helps to make his son’s dream come true.

Brahmin is the only Odia player who got selected for the national team and has been playing in the national team over the last 5 years.

Attributing his selection credit to his father, Aryan Bramhin  Said, “I would like to give all the credits to my father. I am highly inspired by my father. Wherever I am, till date, only due to my father. I am looking forward to giving my level best in the tournament and bringing the trophy home. We all seek your blessing.”

Overwhelmed by his son’s selection in the National team, father Gouri Shankar Mishra said, “I don’t have any words to express my happiness. I am proud of my son. His hard work and sheer dedication bring him international level. I wish him the best of luck for his Championship game which is going to be held in Bahrain. And also urge to the State Government to endorse Handball game so that thousands of Aryan Bramhin will be coming out in the future who will be making Odisha proud in the national and international arena.”

Prasant Kumar Nayak, Secretary, Handball Association, Bhubaneswar and Ritik Adhikari, Chairman, Ad-hock committee, Odisha, congratulated and wished success to Aryan on his selection in the national team.

Notably, Arayan Brahmin represented India in the 2nd Asian Men’s youth beach handball which was held in Tehran in March of this year.
