IPL 2023: Virat Kohli Scripts History At M. Chinnaswamy

Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were comprehensively defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) despite Kohli registering his fifth half-century of the season. With RCB chasing 201 against KKR, Kohli scored 54 runs off 37 balls, but no other batters contributed except Mahipal Lomror, who scored a brilliant cameo of 34 runs off 18 balls.

However, the 34-year-old reached another milestone during this match in Bengaluru. Virat Kohli has become the first player to score 3,000 or more runs in a single venue. He has so far amassed 3,015 runs at Chinnaswamy Stadium in 92 innings.

Former Bangladesh captains Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah are listed after him on the list. Mahmudullah has amassed 2,813 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur in 130 innings, while Rahim has scored 2,989 runs there in 121 innings.

Alex Hales of England is fourth on the list after scoring 2,749 runs in 90 T20 innings at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge.

Former Bangladesh skipper, Tamim Iqbal, rounds out the top five with 2,706 runs at Mirpur.
