Who can make India win T20 World Cup? Sunil Gavaskar named this player

India was ruled out of the series in 2022 after losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India’s continuous defeat is a matter of concern for Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid as there is not much time left for the T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar said about India’s poor performance, ‘The Men in Blue did not need to press the panic button due to exit from the Asia Cup. Gavaskar, however, mentioned changes that India can be made in the Asia Cup composition keeping the T20 World Cup in mind.

Gavaskar said, ‘I would say Deepak Chahar is who I would like to see playing because it will be Australia and there will be an extra bounce. And he can do well with the new ball. Chahar featured in two of India’s three matches on the tour of Zimbabwe, taking five wickets including 3/27 in his return match at Harare.

Gavaskar further said, ‘He is someone who has to keep in mind that we have always picked around 4-5 bowlers for Australia or South Africa tour and one if they get ruined. But in a fast-paced tournament like T20, I think going with Deepak Chahar will be beneficial for the Indian team.

Chahar, who had recently returned from a long injury on the tour of Zimbabwe, was named in place of Avesh Khan. Chennai Super Kings seamer played against Afghanistan in the tournament. After the failure of the Asia Cup, there is more pressure on the Indian team as this important series in Australia is not going to be easy for India.
