Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen Speaker Launched In India With Improved Audio: Price, Features

New Delhi: Amazon has launched its entry-level smart speaker Echo Dot 5th Gen in India. The new Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen comes with the same form factor as its predecessor, but there are several changes under the hood.

Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen: Price In India, Availability

The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen has been priced in India at Rs 5,499, but until March 4th, it will be available at an introductory price of Rs 4,999. The speaker can be purchased via a select range of online and offline third-party multi-brand retail stores such as Croma and Reliance Digital, alongside Amazon’s own e-commerce portal.

Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen Key Features

Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen comes with a calling ‘Ultrasound Motion Detection’, a feature that will allow the speaker to gauge movement around it and a larger variety of gestures thanks to an integrated accelerometer. It will also recognise more taps and gestures to control music, alarms and more.

Finally, the Alexa-powered speaker will continue to offer the digital clock, but with more detailed information displayed on it. There is also an ambient temperature sensor, which can read the temperature of a room, and take scheduled actions as well basis the temperatures.
