So you don’t need to go IRCTC website to get your confirmed ticket instantly. All stations of Indian Railways have Passenger Reservation System ticket counters for passengers, where passengers can book confirmed tickets offline.

However, there is a higher chance that the voting train ticket will be confirmed for booking the ticket from the counter. Then if the seat is available, the confirmed ticket is obtained. Travelers don’t have to face the problem of slow payment and slow internet while booking online. Apart from this, you can also take RAC train tickets.

According to the new rules, if the passenger has a confirmed RAC ticket, confirmed or voting, RAC, RAC voting list ticket, then the passenger travel in the train. Apart from this, passengers holding any ticket can also travel in general coaches.

If you have taken ticket confirmation RAC ticket from PRS counter, you can cancel the ticket in two ways. You can cancel the ticket through IRCTC website or SMS.

Otherwise you can cancel the ticket by sending an SMS in the format CANCEL#PNR NUMBER#TRAIN NUMBER. Then you can cancel your ticket. You will get a refund within 48 hours of ticket cancellation.
