3 Indians Arrested in Canada in Khalistani Terrorist’s Murder Case, Photos Released

In a statement on Friday, Canadian Police declared that they have arrested three Indians suspected to be part of the alleged hit squad that had shot dead Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in 2023.

Nijjar’s killing led to a diplomatic row between India and Canada. Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the role of “Indian agents” in the murder, while India rejected the allegation as “absurd” and “motivated”.

The three arrested Indians are Karan Brar, 22, Kamalpreet Singh, 22, Karanpreet Singh, 28. They were living as non-permanent residents in Alberta in Canada for three to five years. Canadian police also released their photos.

Police said they were investigating the possible ties of the arrested persons to the Indian government.

Nijjar, a Canadian citizen was in the most wanted list of India on various terror charges. He was shot dead outside a gurdwara in Surrey on June 18, 2023.
