Temp Crosses 32°C in Odisha’s 16 Places at 8.30 AM, Orange Warning for 10 Districts Today

Bhubaneswar: Severe heat wave continues to prevail in Odisha the temperatures soared above 32°C in at least 16 places in the state at 8.30 am on Thursday.

Balasore and Anugul were the hottest places in Odisha on Thursday morning at 36°C. Bhubaneswar recorded 33.8°C and Cuttack 34.6°C.

The maximum temperatures recorded in 16 places in Odisha at 8.30 on Thursday:

Balasore: 36°C

Angul: 36°C

Talcher: 35.2°C

Baripada: 35°C

Bhawanipatna: 35°C

Keonjhar 34.8°

Cuttack: 34.6°C

Jharsuguda: 34.2°C

Bhubaneswar: 33.8°C

Bhadrak: 33.8°C

Nayagarh 33.6°C

Chandbali: 33.6°C

Titilagarh: 33.4°C

Hirakud: 32.8°C

Sambalpur: 32.4°C

Sonepur: 32.2°C

Meanwhile, the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has issued an orange warning in 10 districts for the next five days. As per the warning, the maximum day temperature may rise to 45°C in 7 districts during this period. Severe to very severe heatwave has been predicted at a few places in Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Subarnapur, Nuapada, and Keonjhar.

The day temperature may cross 45°C at a few places in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada Lagjapati, Angul, and Mayurbhanj.
