Sisters, Thought to be Dead, Found Alive and Married With Children

New Delhi: Sita and Gita, who were thought to have died after their brother filed a missing complaint with the police in January 2023, were found alive, married and also having a child each.

Sita and Gita along with their brother Ajay Prajapati used to live in Delhi along with their parents. They were originally from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

As per a complaint filed in Delhi on January 3, 3023 by Prajapati, his sisters Sita (20) and Gita (21) had gone missing.  He alleged that a man from their village Belghat in Gorakhpur was allegedly having an affair with one of sisters.

Prajapati said that when he visited the man’s house to enquire about his missing sisters, the latter and his family physically assaulted him and also threatened to kill him.

Based on his complaint, the police started an investigation into the case.

Investigation revealed that Sita and Gita were alive. When they were contacted over the phone, the sisters told the police that they had eloped from home to marry their lovers from Uttarakhand and Haryana.

On Monday, Sita and Gita, along with their children, reached Belghat in UP.
