5 of A Family Including 3 Children Injured As Mud House Collapses During rains In Subarnapur

Subarnapur: Five members of a family were injured when the mud house in which they were living collapsed at the Dahukbuda village under the Dunguripali police station in Subarnapur district in the wee hours of Thursday.

The family was trapped under the debris of the collapsed house. The injured were rescued by the firefighters and were admitted to the Dunguripali Community Health Centre.

The injured include Sushil Padhan, his wife Basturi Padhan, their daughter Ritika Padhan, son Kris Padhan, and their 18-month-old son Arnab Padhan.

Sushil is a poor menial labourer. He and his family were asleep when their mud house collapsed due to heavy rainfall, trapping them under the debris. Hearing their cries, villagers rushed to the spot and called up the fire department.
