2 Maoists Slain in Encounter in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Two Maoists were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces in Bastar’s Sukma region in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

Both these slain Maoists were carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh each on their heads.

A pistol and a rifle were recovered from the spot of the encounter.

The encounter took place at around 6 am in a forest between Tadmetla and Duled villages. A joint team of district reserve guard (DRG), district police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were part of this operation.

The slain Maoists belong to the Jagargunda area committee of CPI (Maoist).
