2 Minor Girls Drown in Village Pond in Balasore District

Balasore: Two minor girls drowned in a pond while bathing at Odangi village under Balasore Sadar police station limits on Friday.

The deceased were Tapaswini Das and Tanushree Das.

They faced the mishap while they were bathing in the village pond on Friday morning.

Initially, Tanushree slipped into deep water and drowned.

Tapaswini drowned while trying to save Tanushree.

Later their family members and villagers fished out both girls from the pond and they were rushed to the Fakir Mohan Medical College & Hospital in Balasore, where the two were declared dead.

Police have registered an unnatural death case into the incident.
