2 Indian Students Drown at Tourist Spot in Scotland

Two Indian students drowned at Linn of Tummel, a popular tourist spot in Scotland. The two ill-fated students were hiking with four other friends during the mishap. The deceased were pursuing a Master’s degree at Dundee University.

The bodies of the two men were recovered from the water near the Linn of Tumme, where two rivers meet, on Wednesday night.

The two drowned students were identified as Jitendranath Karuturi, 26, and Chanhakya Bolisetti, 22.

According to the Indian High Commission in London, the families of both students have been contacted by the Indian Consulate General, and a consular representative has met a student who resides in the UK. Dundee University has promised to help in every way.

Following their post-mortem on Friday, the process for returning the bodies to India will begin.
