3 Tribals Shot Dead in Manipur

Imphal: At least three tribals Kuki-Zo community were shot dead by militants in Manipur’s Kangpopki district on Tuesday.

The rebels came in a vehicle and terrorized the tribal-dominated villages early in the morning and managed to escape before the security forces reached the spot.

The armed militants targeted villages between the Ireng and Karam areas along the bordering regions of Imphal West and Kangpopki districts. They shot dead the three villagers on the spot.

It is suspected that militants of banned terror groups in the Kangpopki district were involved in the attack.
