4 Policemen Sexually Assault Minor Girl in Tamil Nadu, Arrested Under POCSO

Chennai: Four cops were arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a girl in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy. Following a complaint lodged by the minor victim, all of them were earlier suspended on Thursday.

The arrested policemen were booked under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The arrested policemen sexually assaulted the minor girl whiel she was travelling with a male friend. While committing the crime, the four accused policemen were in an inebriated state.

In the name of questioning, these four policemen attacked the girl’s male friend and later sexually assaulted her.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that the police officers recorded the assault and threatened them not to reveal their identities.
