5 New Guests from Mizoram Reach Nandankanan Zoo

Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) received five new guests from Mizoram’s Aizawl Zoo.

These new animals include a pair of hoolock gibbons, a pair of pig-tailed macaques and a female Himalayan black bear.

They were brought to Nandankanan Zoo from the Aizawl Zoological Park in Mizoram in exchange of two tigers sent to Aizawl.

A team from Nandankanan brought the exchanged animals on Friday night.

The animals from Mizoram will be kept in quarantine for a month as part of the safety protocol of the Central Zoo Authority of India.
