5,60,000 Students Appear for Matric Examination in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Around 5,60,000 students appeared for the Class 10 board examinations or matric examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha, which started on Tuesday.

This tenth board examination is being conducted in 3,047 centres in the state. The examination will continue till March 4.

The first paper on Tuesday was MIL. The board advised the students to reach the examination centre 1.5 hours before the examination time.

The exams started at 9.00 am. The students entered the examination hall at 7.30 am. The gate of the examination centres were closed at 8.15 am.

For the first time, AI-based CCTV cameras have been installed at susceptible centres to check malpractice. Twenty cyber experts and board authorities will keep watch on the live footage from CCTV cameras at a command control room.
