6 Hardcore Maoists Arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma, Huge Quantity of Arms & Ammunition Seized

Raipur: During a joint operation, police personnel and CRPF CoBRA jawans busted a Maoist den in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma area and arrested six hardcore Maoists. Sukma region borders Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

The security forces seized a huge amount of arms and ammunition from the spot. The seized items included 19 BGM bombs and gelatin sticks. It is said to be one of the biggest caches ever seized from the Sukma region.

Reportedly, the arrested Maoists were involved in several cases of naxalite violence.
