6 Persons Including 5 of a Family Die in Violent Clash in UP

Lucknow: Six persons including five of a family died in a violent group clash on Monday in Fatehpur village of Rudrapur area of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh.

Former district panchayat member Prem Yadav (50) was initially hacked to death by his rival Satyaprakash Dubey and his family when he went to the latter’s house on Monday morning.

In retaliation, Yadav’s supporters from Abhaipur attacked Dubey’s house and killed Dubey and five of his family. The deceased included 54-year-old Dubey, his wife Kiran Dubey (52), daughters Saloni (18), Nandani (10), and son Gandhi (15). Dubey’s son Anmol was injured in the attack.

According to police sources, land dispute between the two families was the reason behind this violent incident.

Two persons were arrested in connection with the killings. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Commissioner of Police and the Inspector General to take strict action against the guilty.
