7 Killed in Cloudburst in Himachal’s Solan

New Delhi: A cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district claimed the lives of seven persons.

Six people were rescued from the aftermath of the cloud burst at Mamligh village of Kandaghat subdivision in Solan. Two houses and one cowshed were washed away.

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu through a  tweet offered condolences and said he has directed the authorities to ensure all possible assistance and support to the affected families.

All educational institutes in Himachal Pradesh will remain shut on Monday because of the heavy rains, the Chief Minister said. The collectors have been directed to provide feedback on the damage and devastation.
