Ancient Temple Remains Unearthed During Excavation at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: Excavations at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, have yielded significant findings, according to Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. These findings include pillars and idols from an ancient temple.

The discovery of these remains adds historical depth to the ongoing construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The temple is being built on the site where the Babri Masjid once stood. The Supreme Court of India ruled in 2019 that the land belonged to Hindus, and the temple’s construction began in 2020.

The first floor of the temple is currently under construction. Images shared by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra account show scaffolding and construction workers hard at work.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the temple site on August 19 and inspected the construction progress. He also paid his respects to Lord Ram Lalla at the Ram Janamabhoomi.

The construction of the Ram Temple is a major undertaking, and it is expected to be completed in 2025. The temple is expected to be a major tourist attraction and a source of pride for Hindus around the world.
