Another NEET Aspirant Commits Suicide in Kota, 26th Case This Yr

Kota: A 20-year-old student from Uttar Pradesh, preparing for the NEET exam allegedly died by suicide in Rajasthan’s Kota on Wednesday night. This is the 26th student suicide in this city known as a coaching hub.

The NEET aspirant Mohammad Tanvir from Maharajganj district of UP hanged himself in his room.

It is said the victim’s father also teaches at one of the coaching institutes. According to some media reports, the victim was living along with his father and his sister at Kunhadi in Kota.

The local police have initiated a probe into the case.

At least 26 students have reportedly died by suicide in Rajasthan’s Kota in 2023.

The district administration in the city recently directed the coaching institutes to stop conducting routine tests for students preparing for NEET and other competitive exams for the next two months in the wake of the latest suicides.
