AUS vs WI, 2nd T20I: Glenn Maxwell Equals Rohit’s Record with Blazing Century

Adelaide: Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell showcased his prowess with a stunning century during the second T20I match against West Indies in Adelaide. Maxwell’s remarkable innings of 120 runs off 55 balls, adorned with 12 boundaries and 8 sixes, propelled Australia to their highest T20I total against West Indies, reaching 241/4 in 20 overs.

This century marked Maxwell’s fifth in T20 Internationals, a feat previously achieved only by India’s Rohit Sharma. Expressing his delight, Maxwell attributed his success to overcoming past disappointments in Adelaide, including a previous injury when his parents had come to watch him play.

Winning the toss, West Indies captain Rovman Powell elected to bowl. The victory in the first match in Hobart was anchored by David Warner’s explosive 70 runs and Adam Zampa’s three-wicket haul, securing an 11-run win for the hosts.

With Maxwell’s stellar performance, Australia continues to dominate the T20I series against West Indies, setting the stage for an exhilarating competition ahead.
