BSF Recovers China-Made Drone Near India-Pakistan Border

Amritsar (Punjab): The Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully intercepted and recovered a China-manufactured drone in a partially damaged state from a farming field near Chann Kalan village in Amritsar district, according to an official statement.

Vigilant BSF troops on duty detected the suspicious movement of a drone on the border in Amritsar district during the night of 10th February 2024. Acting swiftly, the BSF Quick Response Team (QRT) tracked the drone according to protocol, leading to its interception.

The recovered drone, identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic Quadcopter, is believed to have been launched from across the border. An extensive search operation was conducted in the potential dropping zone, resulting in the retrieval of the drone around 09:12 pm.

This successful recovery marks another instance of BSF’s alertness and prompt action. Just a day earlier, the BSF shot down another China-made drone near the India-Pakistan International Border in Gurdaspur, Punjab.
