Barber Kills 2 Children in UP for Rs 5000 Loan from Their Father, Shot Dead by Police

Lucknow: A barber in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun allegedly hacked two children of his neighbour to death and critically injured another.

The killer barber was later shot dead by the police in an encounter.

The incident took place in the Baba Colony under the Mandi Samiti police station of Badaun. The accused, identified as Sajid Ali (22) barged into his neighbour’s house at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday and slit the throats of the two brothers, aged 11 and 6, while injuring the third boy.

Sajid escaped after committing the crime. UP Police later tracked him down and he was killed in an encounter. Sajid’s brother Javed is also named as an accused in the case. He is also absconding.

According to the family of the murdered children, the accused had demanded Rs 5,000 from Vinod Kumar, the father of the deceased children. But he had denied giving the loan to Sajid.

According to locals, the accused often had disputes with his neighbour Vinod Kumar’s family.

Vinod Kumar’s wife was alone at home with her three children when Sajid entered the house.

The reason for the murder is not known yet. Further investigation is underway.
