2 Children Beaten to Death by Aunt in UP’s Prayagraj

Prayagraj: In a shocking incident, a mentally-challenged woman battered to death two of her nephews in Hargarh village in Meja police station area of Prayagraj on Tuesday night.

According to police sources, the accused Puja ( 35) resorted to this gruesome act after a fight with her sister-in-law Parvati. Puja hit Parvati’s children Lucky ( 5) and Abhi(3) with a wooden plank.

Both children received serious head injuries. They died during treatment at a hospital.

Police investigation revealed that the accused was apparently mentally challenged for the past 10 years.

Father of the deceased children is a migrant worker serving in Mumbai.

Police have taken the accused woman into custody.
