UP Man Kills Wife Over Delay in Lunch, Then Commits Suicide

Lucknow: A 30-year-old man killed his wife with a sharp weapon following a quarrel over the delay in serving him lunch in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

After committing the murder, the accused ended his life by hanging himself in his house.

The incident took place in Kotwalanpurwa village of Thangaon police station area in the Sitapur district.

The deceased were identified as Prema Devi (28) and her husband Parasram.

Initial investigation reveals that Parasram returned home from his field on Monday afternoon and was angry at his wife because the lunch was not ready. This led to an argument between the two. Enraged Parasram attacked and killed his wife a sharp weapon and then fearing that he would be jailed, he committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home.
