BJD to Train 30000 Party Workers Ahead of 2024 Polls

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) started a special 40-day training program for around 30,000 party workers ahead of the assembly and Lok Sabha polls in 2024.

These party workers will be trained to expand the party’s outreach to the public. They will be trained to use social media platforms to connect with the people and counter misinformation by the opposition.

This 40-day training programme starts from September 12. Around 30,000 party workers (master trainers) from all panchayats in all 147 assembly constituencies are to be trained under this program.

These master trainers will pass on their acquired knowledge and skills to the other party workers of their respective areas.

This training program aims at making the party workers popularize the different people-centric welfare schemes and programmes taken up by the state government and time-bound delivery of government services.

Senior party leaders train the participants of this training program. The participants will be made thorough about state government’s public welfare programs like Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), interest-free loan for Women SHGs, KALIA yojana for farmers, irrigation projects for farmers, piped drinking water projects, Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana, transformation of government schools, reservation of seats in medical and engineering colleges for the students of government schools, redevelopment of temples and other religious places, Jaga Mission for slum dwellers, Mukta Yojana etc.
