Armed Miscreants Fire at Youth in Balasore District

Balasore: Unidentified miscreants fired at a youth at Tilebasa of Sobharampur under Sahadevkhunta police station limits in Balasore on Monday evening. The injured was identified as Vinay Kumar Bihari.

According to a police source, Vinay was shot at, while he was passing through Andhari Mangala Thakurani lane in the locality. A bullet pierced his right hand.

The injured was brought to a hospital late for treatment. Vinay was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition deteriorated.

On being informed about the bullet injury, personnel of the Sahadevkhunta police station launched a probe into the incident. It is suspected that this firing incident is the fallout of past enmity over some monetary matter, suspected police.
