Buffalo Eats Up Rs 1.5 Lakh Worth Mangalsutra in Maharashtra

Mumbai: It may sound astonishing, but a buffalo ate up a 25 gram mangalsutra worth around Rs 1.5 lakh in Maharashtra’s Washim district.

The valuable jewellery was recovered from the buffalo through a surgical procedure. Veterinary surgeon Balasaheb Kaundane operated on the buffalo to take out the mangalsutra.

It was a two-hour-long veterinary operation.

In a similar incident, a bull had ingested about 40 grams of gold ornaments in Haryana.
