Crocodile Mauls Woman to Death in Jajpur Dist

Jajpur: A crocodile killed a woman on the banks of the Birupa river in the Bari block of Odisha’s Jajpur district on Wednesday morning. The victim faced the crocodile attack whiel she was attending to nature’s call on the banks of the river.

The victim was a native of Palatpur village under Amathpur police limits in Jajpur district. She was identified as Jyotsna, the wife of Anam Jena.

The crocodile came out of the river and dragged Jyotsna into the water to kill her.

Receiving information, personnel of the fire Services rushed to the spot and recovered her body after a search. The presence of killer crocodiles in the area has panicked the inhabitants of the area.
