Driver Burnt Alive as Mini Truck Catches Fire After Accident in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: The driver of a mini truck driver was burnt alive on National Highway No 53 near Bada Kundesara in Sambalpur as the vehicle caught fire after a head-on collision with a 14-wheeler coal-laden truck on Wednesday.

The helper of the mini truck was also seriously injured in this accident. The coal-loaded truck overturned after the accident. The mini truck was almost reduced to ashes.

According to personnel of Jamankira police station, the deceased driver was identified as Ramji from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The identity of the injured helper is yet to be ascertained.

Police and Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
