Sextortion Call to Union Minister, 2 Arrested

Two persons made a sextortion call to the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti, Prahlad Singh Patel.

The minister immediately reported the incident to the Delhi Police Commissioner. An investigation by the Delhi Crime Branch led to the arrest of two persons involved in the sextortion call.

The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Vakil and Mohammad Sahib from Bharatpur in Rajasthan.

The search is on to nab the prime accused Sabir, who is absconding.

The arrested persons were members of a gang involved in sextortion calls and blackmail.

According to the complaint filed with police by the minister’s personal secretary, the accused made a video call to the mobile phone of Minister Prahlad Patel. During the video call, they played a pornographic video with the intention of blackmailing the minister.
