Fire Breaks Out in Kalahandi Dist HQ Hospital, All Patients Safe

Bhawanipatna: A fire accident occurred on the fourth floor of the Kalahandi District Headquarters Hospital in Odisha’s Bhawanipatna on Monday night.

According to reports, a suspected electrical short circuit caused the fire mishap at around midnight. The patients on this floor of the hospital were immediately shifted to safe places. So, no one was injured.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Police have started an investigation into the incident.

A short circuit is said to be the reason behind this fire as the switches of calling bells at the beds of patients on this floor became defunct a few minutes before the fire was noticed.
