Former BJD MLA of Kendrapara Sipra mallick Joins Congress

Bhubaneswar: Former BJD MLA from Kendrapara Sipra Mallick joined Congress on Thursday.

Mallick joined the Congress in the presence of senior leaders of the party including former Odisha PCC president Prasad Harichandan.

She was elected to the Odisha Assembly in 2009 from Kendrapara on a BJD ticket. Her father Prahlad Mallick was former minister in Odisha.

Soon after joining Congress, Mallick said if the party gives ticket, she will definitely contest the upcoming elections.
