Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha DGP Sarat Chandra Mishra, who was also well-known in the literary field passed away at a private hospital in the capital city on Tuesday morning at the age of 88.
Mishra served as the DGP of Odisha in 1991-92. This IPS officer of the 1959 batch served the Research and Analysis Wing (R & AW) for a long period.
He was undergoing treatment after being tested positive for dengue. He breathed his last at 7.22 am.
He was also a noted writer and had received the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award.
