HAL Hands Over First Twin Seater LCA Tejas Aircraft to Indian Air Force

New Delhi: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over the first LCA Tejas twin-seater aircraft to the Indian Air Force, on Wednesday.

This twin-seater variant of Tejas has the capabilities to be used for training of the IAF and can also be used as a fighter aircraft at the time of need.

Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt was the chief guest during the ceremony in Bengaluru for the official handover of the first LCA Tejas twin-seater aircraft. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari was present during the function.

The LCA Tejas twin seater is a lightweight, all-weather multi-role 4.5 generation aircraft.
