New Delhi: The much-awaited World Cup Cup fight between India and Pakistan will be held in Ahmedabad on October 14 instead of October 15
The PCB has agreed to the proposal to reschedule two of its matches.
As per the revised schedule, Pakistan will face Sri Lanka on October 10 instead of October 12 in Hyderabad. After a gap of three days, the Pak team will take the centre stage to clash against India on October 15.
India vs Pakistan match was rescheduled as October 15 was the first day of the Navratri festival in Ahmedabad and it raised security arrangement concerns.
The ICC and BCCI had requested the PCB for the rescheduling of two of its group matches including the one against India in Ahmedabad.
A few other games involving other teams may also be rescheduled.
Now Pakistan team’s schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023:
October 6 – vs Netherlands in Hyderabad
October 12 – vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad
October 15 – vs India in Ahmedabad
October 20 – vs Australia in Bengaluru
October 23 – vs Afghanistan in Chennai
October 27 – vs South Africa in Chennai
October 31 – vs Bangladesh in Kolkata
