Kenyan Flesh Trade Racket Busted in Goa, 5 Girls Rescued, 2 Traffickers Arrested

Goa: A flesh trade racket involving Kenyan traffickers and girls was busted by Goa police. Five Kenyan girls were rescued.

The arrested traffickers lured the Kenyan women to come to India on the promise of offering jobs in Goa’s hospitality industry. But the girls were forced into the flesh trade.

All the five rescued girls are of Kenyan nationality. The two accused are also from Kenya.

The rescued Kenyan girls were young, educated, and vulnerable. After they reached India, the traffickers seized the women’s passports and visas, forcing them into prostitution under threat of violence and debt.

The women were forced to work in massage parlours and then forced into the flesh trade.

One more accused in this flesh trade racket is a Nigerian national who is absconding.

The police have also launched legal action against the two hotels in North Goa, where the traffickers allegedly operated.
