British Citizen Booked in Goa for Growing Cannabis at Home

Goa: A British national was booked by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday for growing cannabis at his home in Goa.

A team of NCB raided his house following a tip-off that he was involved in illegal in-house cannabis cultivation in Socorro.

From the house of the British citizen, identified as Jason, 33 newly grown cannabis plants, 10 grams of ganja and Rs 40,000 were recovered.

He was growing the cannabis plants in flower pots on the terrace.

According to reports, Jason was earlier arrested by the NCB on November 28, 2022, in connection with the seizure of 107 ecstasy tablets, 40 grams MDMA powder and 55 grams charas. He is currently on bail.
