Landslide Kills More Than 100 in Papua New Guinea

More than 100 people are feared to have died in a landslide in Papua New Guinea on Friday, reported Australian Broadcasting Corp.

The landslide hit Kaokalam Village in Enga Province, about 600 kilometers northwest of the South Pacific island nation Papua New Guinea’s capital Port Moresby at about 3 am local time on Friday.

Rescue operations are underway in the area.
