M.Tech Student Found Hanging in IIT Delhi Hostel

New Delhi: Sanjay Nerkar (24), an M.Tech student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi was found hanging in his hostel room on Friday.

The incident came to the fore when the family members of the deceased asked his hostel mates to check on him as he was not answering their phone calls.

Nerkar from Nashik, Maharashtra, was staying in room number 757 at Dronacharya Hostel on IIT Delhi.

Nerkar’s body was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room. Police have started an investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
