Mamata Mohanta Elected Unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Odisha

Bhubaneswar: BJP leader Mamata Mohanta has been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha after another BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan, who had initially filed as an independent candidate, withdrew his nomination on the last day today.

It is worth noting that Mamata Mohanta recently joined the BJP after resigning as a Rajya Sabha MP and relinquishing her primary membership with the BJD.

Subsequently, the BJP nominated her as their candidate for the Upper House from Odisha.
