Marijuana Worth Rs 10.02 Cr Seized from Cashew Truck in Boudh

Boudh: Ganja weighing 1,025 kgs was seized by police from a cashew nut-loaded truck during a vehicle check on Mahanadi bridge in Boudh on Friday. As per an estimate, the seized contraband is worth around 10.02 crore.

Boudh police arrested the driver and helper of the truck in connection to this ganja smuggling. The accused were identified as Sarfaraz Khan and Milan Yadav from Maharashtra.

Cash worth Rs 18,000 and two mobile phones were seized from the possession of the arrested persons.

Acting as per an intelligence report, Boudh police conducted vehicle checking on the Mahanadi bridge. The contraband concealed under sacks of cashew nuts was unearthed from the seized truck that was coming from Sonepur.
