Mobile Phone Explodes Injuring 2 Minor Sisters Gajapati Dist

Paralakhemundi: Two minor sisters received serious burn injuries when a mobile phone exploded at Lakhari village under the Mohana police station limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district on Monday.

According to reports, the smartphone exploded while the two children were watching a video on it. The two injured sisters identified as Namita Raika and Sushila Raika.

The hand of one of them was injured while the other sustained burn injuries on her leg.

Their family members rushed them to the Chandragiri Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.

The exact reason behind the explosion has not been ascertained. It is suspected that overheating of the battery may have led to the blast.
